When you picture San Francisco, the Chase Center might not be the first thing that springs to mind. However, with the recent developments around the Mission Bay, China Basin, and Dogpatch neighborhoods, Chase Center has evolved into a delightful mix of urban excitement and natural beauty. During my recent stay in charming Potrero Hill, I had the perfect opportunity to explore this dynamic neighborhood on foot.

From waterfront parks and art installations to delicious eats and lively gathering spots, this area has something for everyone. Dive in and see what awaits.

Of course, no exploration of this area would be complete without mentioning Chase Center itself. Located in San Francisco’s vibrant Mission Bay neighborhood, the stadium is home to the Golden State Warriors, the city’s high-profile basketball team. The state-of-the-art arena hosts thrilling basketball games, concerts, community shows, and other special events. The surrounding area, known as Thrive City, includes restaurants, shops, and a public plaza, creating a lively destination for visitors even on non-event days. 

Chase Center has quickly become a San Francisco landmark, offering a world-class experience for fans and visitors.

If you are early for your event, you may want to take a stroll down 3rd Street and check out the smaller eateries and wine bars in the area.

While not yet overrun with tourists, this area provides a refreshing alternative to the typical San Francisco sightseeing experience. You can also explore the vibrant Dogpatch neighborhood, known for its art galleries, breweries, and industrial-chic vibe. And if you’re craving the bustling energy of more touristy spots, the Embarcadero with its iconic Ferry Building and downtown San Francisco are just a short hop away.
