Anyone who’s tried to find good quality, free pickleball images for their blog posts, social media, or other digital projects knows it is slim pickings! As a racquet sports blogger, I can attest to that. While I mostly use photos captured by me, sometimes I need to turn to external sources for those perfect pickleball shots to complement my posts. In this post, I am sharing a few pickleball images from my collection along with a few reliable sources that offer good-quality sports images.
High-quality images help boost the appeal of your siteโs content. Many sites draw you in with offers of royalty-free photos. However, you will quickly find that the selection of free images is limited. The ones you want are watermarked, restricted, or behind a paywall.
The pickleball pics included in this post are royalty-free. You are welcome to download, copy, or snip them for your use โ personal or commercial. The only ask? Please provide an attribution link back to my site. For convenience, here’s the attribution text you can use: Image Credit: RacquetSocial.com. For images from external sites, please follow the platform’s attribution guidelines.
To download an image, right-click on it and use the “Save image as” or “Copy image.” Once again, here’s the attribution text you can use: Image Credit: RacquetSocial.com.
If you are interested in racquet sports in general, here’s a post that identifies a few sites that offer free tennis images useful to create sports-related content. Listed below are a few more options for royalty-free pickleball images that you may not have used before. These sites provide a wide variety of images suitable for content that goes way beyond sports.
Flickr
Flickrย is my first external option when looking for images for my blog site.ย As far as quality and quantity of free images go, Flickr is hard to beat. As you can imagine, you will need a Flickr account to access images.
It is important to note that not all photos on Flickr are available under CC licences. With the correct search terms and filters, you can find royalty-free pickleball images, such as the one above, on Flickr. The default licence setting for uploaded images on Flickr is โAll rights reserved,โ which means that such images usually come at a cost or require explicit permission from the owner for reuse.
Google Images
Google is my second option when looking for images for my blog site. Using the โToolsโ tab, I filter down to the pictures under the Creative Commons (CC) licence. The downside of using free images from Google is that every other person with a website will also be doing the same.
Unsplash
With over five million images and a growing number of contributors,ย Unsplashย undoubtedly has become the go-to site for free images. Even though their licensing model has evolved over the years, some good quality free pickleball images are still available for download that are worth checking out. Unsplash images are covered by their unique license, which explains why their pictures donโt appear on Wikipedia and Wikimedia.
Before using pictures from external sources, please ensure that you understand and comply with the sitesโ copyright restrictions.
Hopefully, you will find some of the images available through this post useful for your creative needs. Let’s see if we can make finding great pickleball visuals a bit easier.
