Tennis  Lament

My tennis club,  I took for granted2

Indoor courts and all the frills

Bad weather, just a driving hazard  Not something that stopped me play

COVID-19 broke that cycle Now I am stuck with  outdoor play

At the mercy of the  elements The seasons And, the wind and rain

Spring has sprung  But, the courts are wet Keeping fingers crossed for sun

The summer's here  It's scorching hot The hat and dark shades can't keep up

Fall rolls in  It's beautiful The wind plays havoc  with my serve

Soon the winter, and snow will come The courts will close And then we wait  For next season  Or the club Seasons come and seasons go I am sick and tired of this one.

Tennis in the Sun was fun Still, I like a backup plan For now, I look for fun elsewhere Like wine and song  that still remain
