PRAGUE

A Racquet Social Travelogue

I flew from Toronto to Prague via Frankfurt

To my knowledge, there are no direct flights from Canada to Prague

Marriott Prague is conveniently located, just steps away from  Old Town Square.

I did a walking tour of Prague.

Historic buildings, bridges, statues, squares, and churches...

There's a lot to see and experience in Prague.

Prague is a small city. Most major attractions are right within walking distance of the City Centre

Wenceslas Square is one of the largest pedestrian areas of Prague

Saint Wenceslas is the patron saint of Bohemia, a part of the Czech Republic.

Prague has a bohemian feel to it.

Karlova Street

Karlova Street is considered touristy. I walked from the Charles Bridge to the Old Town Square through Karlova Street.

Old Town Square

You can hang out and watch people

The Powder Tower

This gothic structure was once used to store gun powder.

There are many beautiful churches in Prague. This is the Church Of  St. Nicholas

Lesser Quarter

One of the smaller districts of Prague. Don't let the looks fool you, it is a 1000 years old.

Il Commendatore Statue

A sculpture near Estates Theatre where Mozart debuted his Don Giovanni.

A food tour in Prague is about meats — pork, beef, duck, and chicken. Not ideal for vegetarians.

I did not have an issue with meats.

Try a local beer

In Prague, it is difficult to separate a food tour from a beer tour. “Beer foam” with  90% foam and 10% beer is listed on the menu!

Check out Cafe Louvre for desserts

Walk Prague.  Eat food you can't pronounce!
