A Racquet Social Travelogue

San Francisco recently celebrated the  Golden State Warriors' NBA championship win.

 The SF public transportaion systems BART, Caltrain, and Muni brought fans to Market Street. 

Tens of thousands of fans made their way early to Market Street to grab a place closer to the action.

Fans, old and young waited patiently for the parade to begin

Some fans were more ardent than the others

SFPD kept a watchful eye on the boisterous revelers

The 1.4 miles long parade included floats, trolleys, and double-decker buses  that carried the athletes. 

Some lucky construction crews had vantage views of the proceedings

The players participated in the parade on separate floats, allowing them to soak in the fans' adoration 

Draymond Green's never-a-dull-moment demeanor continued at the parade

Marching bands added to the celebratory ambiance of the parade

The fans showed their appreciation to Steve Kerr and his coaching team.
