Stockholm Arlanda is Sweden's largest airport and serves as a major hub for Scandinavian Airlines and Norwegian Air. It is the larger of Stockholm's two airports. The other is Stockholm-Bromma.

Stockholm Central Station is the main railway station in Stockholm. For around $20, the Arlanda Express will take you from the airport to the Central Station in under 20 minutes. 

The contemporary luxury hotel is located in the heart of Stockholm at Norrmalmstorg square. It is within walking distance of many of the city's attractions, shopping and restaurants.

Established in 1788, the Theatre is Sweden's national stage for "spoken drama." It features five running stages that show around a thousand performances a year.

The Christmas spirit was evident in Stockholm during my late November visit. The decorative lights, stores, and Christmas markets offered a joyful ambiance without the pressure to buy.

The Fashion District of Stockholm is centered around Bibliotekstan. You can find here international luxury brands alongside Swedish fashion labels like Acne Studios, and others.

Wedged between the city's vibrant waterways and the city center, the majestic Radisson Collection Strand Hotel dates back to 1912. It is close to Stockholm's Old Town and is a city landmark.

The Raoul Wallenberg Monument in central Stockholm was built to honor Wallenberg's fight against racism and to symbolize Sweden's role in promoting democracy and tolerance.

Artist Ai Weiwei's 40-foot-tall stainless steel sculpture, Arch, installed outside the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm symbolizes a world without borders.

I took the Djurgården ferry from Skeppsholmen to Allmänna Gränd to get to the Vasa Museum. The museums are a short walk from the ferry terminal.

The Vasa Museum in Stockholm houses the 17th-century 64-gun warship Vasa, which sank on her maiden voyage in 1628. It is one among the most popular museums in Scandinavia.

The Old Town is known for its maze of narrow, cobbled lanes, and buildings of historical significance. You will find some single-file laneways that offer opportunities to explore.

Gamla Stan

Located in Gamla Stan, the church is dedicated to Saint Gertrude. It is a prominent landmark that dates back to the 16th century.

Commissioned in the 17th century, The House of Nobility is an exquisitely architected building that houses the organization maintaining records and managing the interests of the Swedish nobility.

The Kungsträdgården Skating rink is a popular attraction located in the heart of the city. The Zamboni added to the excitement of the hockey fans visiting to watch NHL's Global Series in Stockholm.

Östermalmstorg Square is known for the Östermalm Salu Hall (Market Hall). It first opened in 1888 and is a major attraction that features a marketplace for food and related delicacies.

The Östermalm Saluhall is a famous food market in Stockholm, known for its high-quality produce, fish, and meat. The meze-style Lebanese food at the Beirut Cafe was affordable and tasty.
